I took different approaches to bringing out the detail in GIMP, so they look very different. In the case of the two processed Andromedas, both are stacks of five 4-minute exposures (ideally you would want many more exposures). Bringing out the detail can be a process, so definitely do some research on the most effective ways to do so.

Without further processing and more exposures to stack, you can expect most of your images to be similar to this one, provided you live in an area with not too much light pollution (Bortle class 4 in the case of these images) and you have an auto-guider that can take 4+ minute exposures without too much blurring. The other two Andromeda images are examples of processed versions of the original (using DeepSkyStacker and GIMP which are both free programs). The grayer, dimmer image of Andromeda is a single 4-minute exposure. But if you just want a light setup that captures nice images of larger targets, for a good price, this scope is a great choice.Know also that astrophotography is not necessarily just taking long exposures of targets in the sky.

When used with a star tracker (I'd recommend the Ioptron Skyguider Pro or the Sky-watcher Star Adventurer Pro: both $400-500 and need a decent tripod so keep that in mind) it has yielded some surprisingly good results. All of that said, you should know before you buy, that it will not yield the highest quality of photos due to chromatic aberration and some field curvature around the edges. This optical tube has been an excellent tool for astrophotography, relative to its price.
